ROSTER GUIDELINES & PLAYER MOVEMENT

  • Roster:

    • 28 per franchise. 

  • Additions/Changes to Active Roster: 

    • Additions or changes to a team’s active roster must be made by contacting the commissioner.

    • Players can be added/dropped throughout the season as long as a team does not go above the 28 player limit.

 

  • Player Movement:

    • A player is not considered to be on a team until he has played in a game or paid his league fee for a team.

    • A player can move teams either during the season or in the off-season. 

      • If a player is to move teams during the season he needs to let the commissioner know his intent along with the players current team.

      • A player can move as long as his financial commitment is taken care of to his current team. And as long as he is granted a release by his current team

    • If a player chooses to move during the off season the player is free to do so. 

  • Blacklist

    • A player can be blacklisted by his previous team for failure to pay league fees.

    • Until the player pays his league fee to the prior team he will remain on the blacklist.

    • The blacklist lasts one complete GDSL season.

  • Playoff Eligibility 

    • Players must do one of the following to be playoff eligible:

      • Batters must attain 10 plate appearances

      • Pitchers must attain 10 innings pitched

    • Players must attain either 6 innings pitched or 6 plate appearances prior to midnight on July 31st.
